Today, a new installation of wall ties are Stainless Steel so corrosion is no longer a problem. Wall tie corrosion can be occurring in those properties built pre 1980's. Not all older properties have a corrosion problem but it does mean older properties are theoretically at risk and should therefore be inspected. |
